FIRE AT PUKEKOHE.

SHOP STOCK DAMAGED

PUKEKOHE, Tuesday

Damage estimated at about £100 was caused by a fire which broke out in a small shop in a building in the main street last night. A passer-by noticed smoke coming trom a ventilator in the front of the building about 1 a.m. He gave the alarm, and the fire brigade soon extinguished the outbreak.

The stock of the shop, where Miss M. McDonald, of Pukekohe Hill, conducted a children's outfitting business, was damaged by fire and water. There is an insurance policy for £200 with the Royal Insurance Company, Limited, covering stock and pl|int. i * The smoke penetrated to X. A. Kidd and Company's butcher's <?liop next door and did some damage there.
