Mr. W. Appleton arrived from Wellington by the early train this morning. Mr. M. \Y. Wynyard was n passenger from the SoutL by train this morning. Mr. C. R. Ford returned from Wellington by ilie early express this morning. Mr. A. G. Fogerty returned from Wellington by the Limited express this morning. Mr. C. W. Heather arrived from Wellington by the Limited express this morning. .' Sir Donald MeGaviii; of Wellington, left Auckland for the South last evening by train. Mr. K. Kennedy and Mr. R. Gilbert will be passengens by the Limited express for Wellington thie i-vcning. Colonel G. Grattun, chief secretary in New Zealand of the Salvation, Army, returned last evening to Wellington by the Limited express. Mr. Harold Carter, a master at the Tiiuaru Boys' High School, ha.' returned to New Zealand aft'-r a long vacation in Europe. The vacation concluded with a tour with the '"Old Vic" Theatrical Company. Mr. W. H. Struthere, son of Mr. W. li. Struthers, >->f Wellington, has obtained the D D.S. degree of the NorthWestern University of Chicago. At present Mr. VV. H. Strutk.re is in England and will shortly be returning to New Zealand. Dr. A. McGregor Grant and Mr. W. S. S|»eiice, secretary of the Auckland Kacing Club, Jttill leave for Wellington on Sunday evening to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Kacing Conference in Wellington.
