NORTHCOTE BOROUGH
'Hie fortnightly meeting of the Xorthcote Borough Council was held last night, the Mayor, Mr. K. Martin, presiding. Water Works Loan.-The Loans Board have advised the council that they were arranging with the Treasury Department to proceed with the issue of an Order-m-Council amending the rate of interest on the water works loan to 4V4 per cent. Gold-Hole Property Lease.—The question of renewing the lease for a further term of the Gold-Hole property from the Land and Survey Department was deferred. Stafford Park Collection.—lt was decided to grant permission to tho Xorth-c-ote Rugby Football Club to take up a collection on July 1 at .Stafford Park. Xo. 13 Scheme.—The Department of Labour advised that the mibsidv of men employed under Scheme 13 would be at the rate ot £3 10/ per week. This would operate as from June 29, and tho matter would he reviewed alter three months. Traffic Officer's Report.—The traffic officer reported that a number of notices had been issued for irregular parkins at the wharf.
