ROOMS AND RADIOS

I would like to say a word about the alleged shortage of rooms. For a fortnight I have been trying to let a room which there was no trouble in letting during the depression, when radios were not as necessary as boots. Many couples call, hut when they find they cannot bring their noise with them they turn the room down, even though it is clean, sunny and lias a fireplace and kitchenette. I think they would prefer a dirty place so loner as their radio was holding forth. Even it turned down, the imes~aiit muttering and mumbling of the radio arc a nuisance. Other tenants who are paying their rent ha\e a right to quietness if they wish. The radio bugs, "ike the road hogs, think only of themselves. XO DJN.
