Demonstration Of Davis Escape
Apparatus.

Sir Alfred Town send Bucknill, a judge of the probate and Admiralty division of the Supreme Court, is to visit Portsmouth to-morrow prior to the opening of the Thetis inquiry. With him will be Captain Menzies, an experienced submarine officer, who has been appointed one of the assessors for the inquiry.
They will lunch with Rear-Admiral Watson, Rear-Admiral commanding submarines for Blockhouse, which is the headquarters of the British Submarine Service.
Sir Alfred Bucknill will be shown a demonstration of the Davis escape apparatus in a special training tank, and will later see the sister ship of the Thetis. There is no question of any sea trip in the submarine.
