TRIBUTE TO MR. MABEN'S MEMORY

After disposing of pressing business last night the members of the junior management board of the Auckland Rugby Football Union adjourned, the meeting till next Tuesday, in respect to the memory of Mr. T. W. Maben (secretary of the union), whose death occurred on Monday night. The chairman. Mr. A. L. Simmonds, in moving the adjournment, expressed sincere sympathy with the family and relatives of Mr. Maben, and also regret at the loss of such a loyal supporter of Rugby. He considered that the union would be faced with a major problem in replacing Mr. Mabeii. A similar opinion was expressed by several members of tlie board. A. R. Box. K. Doherty. Otahuhu. and C. Williams. Manukau, who were ordered off the field, appeared before the meeting and were stood down for one playing Saturday. 1). Crosado, Otahuhu, was ' severly cautioned. I Ground officials for Saturday :—Victoria Park. Messrs. F. Kendall. A." W. Miller; Walker Park. Messrs. T. Trewhella. F. Howard: Western Springs. Mr. A. Thomson: Stadium. Messrs. A. Varnton. D.
