'WORKMAN GRAVELY HURT.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Falling about 33ft from the scaffolding of the Mutual Life and Citizen*' Assurance Company building, under construction, u workman crashed on to the platform of an empty truck standing below and received serious injuries. He was Mr. Kddie Bradley, aged 21. of Wellington, a labourer iii the building trade.

Mr. Bradley was working on the level of the fourth floor on a tower used for raising concrete. He landed on the deck of the lorry, splintering inch-thick boards, but when picked up he had not lost consciousness. His head was severely injured and the left elbow -shattered. His condition to-night is serious.
