The annual Pay-up Social of the Auckland Women's Christian Temperance Union was held on Tuesday afternoon in the board room of the Y W.C.A. Mrs. Stenipson presided over a la-ge iiiitlierinjr <>f members and visitors. A heart y welcome was extended to the meeting liy the president. Soups also added to the entertainment of the afternoon. Sympathy was expressed to the treasurer. Mrs. Swnn. and Mrs. Smeeton. who had suffered bereavement, also to Mrs. Heard, who had met with a motor accident.
