At the usual weekly sale of Ceylon tea held at Colombo on June 13 the quantity placed under offer amounted to 3,000,0001b weight. Quality of Dickoya and Dimbulla types was plain, while others showed improvement. At the sale common and low mediums were in strong general demand. Mediums were slightly dearer, while good Broken Orange Pekoes were irregular. At the sale common Broken Pekoes, Price Broken Orange Pekoes and plain Broken Orange Pekoes showed an increase of Vid per lb. First classic Broken Pekoes and lii.e Broken Orange Pekoes were list" ! at firm rates. Exchange remained unaltered Next week's sale is expected t-o amount to 2,7-50,0001b weight.
