MANX T.T. RACE
Mellors Wins, German Killed
A CABLEGRAM from London states that E. A. Mellors, riding a Benelli machine,' yesterday won the junior Tourist Trophy motor cycling race at the Ule of Man. His average for the 265-mile course was 74.24 miles per hour. Mellors, on a Velocette, was second in the 1938 junior svtnt and sixth in the senior, the respective winners of which were Stanley Woods (victorious again last Monday) and H. L. Darnell. Karl Gall, the crack German rider, was killed while practising for the lightweight. The senior race is scheduled tor to-morrow.
