INDIAN POTENTATE.
TO RACE IN SYDNEY. The Maharajah of Kolapore, one of the most influential racehorse owners in India. intends having his colour* cairii'd in .Sydney. Adonis, who would have been favourite for the Park Stakes at Canterbury (Sydney) recently, but was a, course ru-ratchinjr. has left Frank MeUrath's stable an<l will be trained in future by Mick Poison for the Indian potentate. Poison, however, does not know whether Adonis will ultimately go to India for racing purposes. The Maharajah lias also bought a yearling half-brother by Sylvandale, and that voungste-r will be prepared by Jim Pike/ A year or two back Pik<> sold Timurkhan to the Maharajah of Kolapore, and at his only Australian start for hie Indian owner the horse finished a close second to Trinco in a race, at Ascot.
SOLID SUPPORT.
Tliere was solid support for the Hawera-trained Kainleh in his two engagements at Ellerslie. but his form was below that exjvected of him. At the recent Egmont meeting Ramleh won impressively over six furlongs against •strong op[Misition. consequent lv his moderate displays at Ellerslie were hard to understand.
