OBITUARY.

MRS. SARAH HEIGHTON.

The death has occurred at Newton Road of Mrs. Sarah Heighton, in ker eighty-fifth year. Born in Londonderry, Ireland. Mrs." Heighton came to Xew Zealand at the age of 16 in the ehip Queen of Nations. She was one of tie oldest parishioners in St. Benedict's Parir-h, Xewton. where she was noted for her charitable work. Mrs. Heighton was one of the first subscribers to the fund for the new St Benedict's I huich, the old one having been burnt to the ground. Apart from a period of 10 years' residence on Motuihi Island, where Mr. Heighton was caretaker, *he had spent 70 years of ker life in Auckland. She is survived by six :sons and ti\c daughters. There are 10 grandchildren.
