Second Unsuccessful Attempt
At Ocean Trip. RETURN TO SYDNEY. (Received 10.SO a.m.) NYONKV. this day. The auxiliary ketch Hispaniola has again returned here, this time with a broken chronometer and a shortage of food, after getting within 1)0 miles of Lord Howe Island. The ketch will sail again for San Francisco in a fortnight's time.
On April it tlip Hispaniola, with the owner, Mr. O'Brien, his wife iind two children alxmrd. left Sydney for Lord Howe Island and Auckland. However, she met with a series of mishaps in gales and returned to Sydney on April iii for repairs, setting out again on Mav 10.
