YOUNG CLERK FOR SENTENCE. (By Telegraph — Press Association.) Wellington, Wednesday. Charged with the theft of sums of money amounting in all to £77 4/8 from Preston and Thompson, Limited, Raymond Julian Jorgensen (20), a clerk, waal committed to.the Supreme Court for sentence to-day. Bail was granted on the condition that he should report daily to the detective office. Accused's explanation, in a statement to detectives, was that on leaving the firm he retained a key to the premises. According to the evidence the money was carefully checked into the strongroom and found to be missing on various dates when the strongroom was again opened.
