COMRADES' CLUB.

An enjoyable evening was spent hy members and friends of the Comrades Club at their weekly social. In the absence of Mrs. Grier, the president, the duties of hostess were carried out by Mrs. Batcup, the vice-president, in a charming manner. Prizes were won by Mrs. Jordon and Mr. Hutton, the lucky number by Mrs. Schmidt and Mrs.

Daviea, and the Monte Carlo by Mrs. Cook and Mr. Brooks. Mrs. Wood, Mr. Bibby and Mre. Teasdale got the highest scores at cards. Mrs. Sutherland arranged the musical programme, and Mr. Rigney was master of ceremonies.
