LONG SERVICE STAR.

(From Our Correspondent.) TE KUITI. Tuesday. The Gold Star for 25 years' service was presented to Superintendent J. C. Henderson, of the Te Kuiti Fire Brigade, at the annual smoke concert. Mr. Henderson entered the brigade at its inception, and for 21 years has held the position of superintendent. In making the presentation the Mayor of Te Kuiti, Mr. H. Hine, said that it was due to Mr. Henderson's efforts that the brigade had reached its present high efficiency.
