The Soutli Canterbury Returned Soldiers' Association carried the following resolutions at its annual meeting tonight:—"Thai members of this association Support wholeheartedly the steps which are now being taken by the Uoverntrient to improve tlife defences and land forces of New Zealand; and that this meeting of returned j soldiers will do everything in its power to assist the Government in introducing compulsory national scrvice.
