RETURN BOUT.
BLOMFIELD WILL TRY TO AVENGE DEFEAT. Among tlie major King's Birthday week-end attractions will be the return wrestling match between Lofty Blomfield aud "Irish" Jack Donovan —who has scored the only victory over Blom field so far this season. The match, which will be sponsored by the Auckland Wrestling Association at the Town Hall on Saturday night, has been eagerly sought by all the centres, and in it Auckland wrestling enthusiasts should find entertainment of the type they have applauded most. Both men are keyed up to the contest, and ae they are of the same rugged type, with physical characteristics that make them ideal opponents, there should be thrills in plenty in this encounter. The big Irish-American has proved a popular attraction in every centre where he has appeared so far. and he can bp expected to. give an excellent account of himself on this occasion. His boxing exploits have equipped him with fast footwork that is unusual in so big a man, aud a power-laden jolt that will mean lots of trouble for the New Zealand title-holder. Blomfield, however, will be in his home territory, and lie has shown in the past that here he always rises to the occasion. Against the brilliant attack if Kirchmeyer and Martinez. Blomfield lias shown that he is now at the top of his form and he should face Donovan on this occasion with an even stronger equipment than when lie was defeated by the visitor in their first match. He will be eager to wipe that defeat from his record.
