EARLY RACING.

EFFECT ON YOUNGSTERS.

SYDNEY'S TRAINERS OPINION

Well-known trainer Fred C'usli, is a paradox. Xo man in Sydney has had greater success in recent years with young horses, yet he does not believe in early two-year-old racing. C'u«li explained his outlook after White Ensign had improved the trainer's record at Kensington recently. "Most of the other trainers are busy educating their yearlings, but 1 haven't one in work. I won't get my < - rliug« to my stables for some time y<_eaid tush. '"I will not race early two-year-olds if I can help it. I prefer to give them time to develop and to start their farcers after Christmas. "It's difficult to get a youngster to stand up to a spring preparation. They are too immature, and usually go ehin«ore when they are galloped. "And then, when they do come through the trials, and tackle the Breeders' Plate or the (limeraek Stakes, they are seldom much good afterwards," declared C'ush.
