PICNIC MEETING.
CUP TO THE ORATOR. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") OTOROHAXGA, this day. The Otorohanga picnic race meeting was held on Saturday in good weather. There was a large attendance. The Hon. W. E. Parry was present and presented the Kins Country Cup to Mr. Ken Jones, owner of The Orator. Speeches were made by Messrs. Broadfoot. M.P., and H. Kothery, the president of the olub. Results:— Hangutiki Handicap.—The Orator 1, Lassie 2. Pony Race for Girls.—Beryl Maxwell ], .Tune Cliaffey 2. Kinokino Hurdles.—Peter 1. Anluton 2. DriveiK , Race.—De Valera 1. Mangu 2.
