THEFT OF WIRELESS SET,
Charged in the Police Court yesterday afternoon with stealing a wireless set, valued at £13 17/, on March 1, Leonard Edward Lockhart, a single man, aged 38", pleaded suilty. Detective Roddick produced a statement made by the accused in which he admitted that in August last he had sold the stock of a grocery business he then had and had included in the stock a wireless pet which belonged to an assistant. He said he bad been woried financially and was in ill-health at the time. Detective-Serceant McHugli said accu-ed had only been licfore the Court once previously and that was pt book"nifikin?, which was not dMtunest. Mr. Orr Walker. S.M.: That depends lt)»nn one's point of view. Accused was admitted to probation for one year and ordered to make restitution of £n, the amount for which the «; less set had been sold.
