ANNOUNCEMENT OF SCHEME

(Received 10.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. The Assistant Treasurer, Mr. Spender, announced "that taxpayers will be able to pay their Federal income tax by instalments after July 1. The taxpayers themselves will decide the amounts and frequency of the instalments, and provision will be made for employers to collect contributions from employees.
