In protest because he had to wait a month before collet-tins a Social Security payment to which "he was entitled, Ronald Laurits Morrison went to the Central Police Station, and. tailing to get satisfaction, broke an electric light globe and shade. For that "protest"' ho was today sentenced to seven days' imprisonment by Mr. ('. It. On- Walker, S.M., who drew attention to the fact that accused had been convicted four times previously for similar offences.
Accused, who' -tated ho was a diabetic case, eaid that he had had to wait for a month after lie came out of hospital before lie received hi,- Stvial Security payment. In that t : !uc he had '"to impose on hi.« mother.*' He bad been paid last Wednesday, but was not sure whether he would' get it main this Wednesday. He had" done the damage because he was annoyed over the delay.
''I received better treatment there than I did in hospital.'' said accused when the magistrate called attention to a previous prison sentence.
