SYDNEY, May 14

A remarkable ense of a woman who masqueraded as a man for 51 years and had two "wives'' was revealed when Annie Payne, aged 64, became an inmate of the Old Men's Home at Lidcombe, a suburb of Sydney, last week. Her sex whs discovered when she was taken to a hat h.

The woman lived under the name of Harniurt Payne. She came to Australia from Derbyshire when she was 13 years old and immediately donned boy's clothes.
