WELLINGTON, Thursday
An announcement that the by-election of a Parliamentary member for Christohnrch South, following the death of Mr. E, J. Howard, would "be on Saturday, June 3. was made this evening , by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. ii. j. Savage.
The writ will be issued on Monday, May K">, and the roll will close at fi p.m on that day. The latest day for the nomination of candidates will be Monday, May 2'2.
