WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist Issued to the •■ Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Moderate to strong south-westerly to southerly winds, decreasing tonight. Weather cool and changeable, with passing showers, but soon . improving. Seas moderate to rather rough on the east coast and rough on the west coast. The anti-cyclone has made further prcgress across the north Tasman, while the last of the present series of westerly depressions has now crossed the South Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, strong; sea, rough; weather, showery, with scattered clouds; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
