WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION.
BIRKENHEAD GATHERING. The president, Mrs. E. ,J. Osborne, Mayoress of Birkenhead. presided at the monthly gathering of the Birkenhead Women's Association in the Returned Soldiers' Hall. An enjoyable social evening followed the business meetiii"-, the items comprising soups by Mrs. f. McKnijrht, diH-ts 'by Mesdames Kees, Da vies and ,S. T. (.'<arter, and elocutionary numbers by Miss Betty Birch. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Walter Williams. \\\ exposition of modern eireativo dancing was given by Miss Stella Sahara.
