According to the "Otago Daily Time deliveries of potatoes during lut we** were further reduced, and merchant* experienced some difficulty in eeeunng sufficient quantities to meet their requirements. Dipping in South Canterbury discloses a shorter crop than was expected, and the supply of King Edwards is below anticipates. Despite Yetf heavy yields in isolated instance* the average return from most South Itlu™ crowing districts will be below normalDuring the week prices rose sharply and Arran Chiefs are now ouoted at up to £10 10/ per ton and King Edwards as high as £11 10/.
