JUSTICES' SOCIAL.
ANNUAL FUNCTION. COUNTRY MEMBERS ENTERTAINED In honour of the country justices a social was held in the Farmer* , Trading Company tenroome last night by the Auckland Justices of Peace Association. There was a large attendance of members from both town and country. The guests were received by the president, Mr. J. B. Paterson, assisted by Mrs. Paterson and Mr. A. J. Stratford, a vk-e-jinvticlent of the association. Mrs. Paterson was wearing a frock of black silk velvet and silver lame. Two lady members of the council were present, the Hon. Mrs. Ernest Molesworth and Mrs. M. M. Dreaver. Mrs. Molesworth was wearing a frock of black velvet threaded with silver and Mre. Dreaver was in black velvet relieved with coloured sequins. During the evening several toasts were honoured, the speakers being the president, Mr. J. B. Paterson, Mr. A. L. Oee, Mr. A. J. Stratford, Mr. H. O. Wiles, Mr. V. A. Coyle, Mrs. Molesworth, Mr. J. W. Bissett and Mr. Oldbury (Kawhia). An enjoyable programme was presented, those contributing being Mrs. H. T. King, Miss 0. Ball, Mrs. U. Wallace Smith, Mr. J. D. Swan and Mr. Hal McLennan.
