BIG 'QUAKE RECORDED.
1500 MILES FROM LONDON. Independent Cable Service. (Received 10 a.m.) LOXDOX, May 8. A big earthquake was recorded in the early hours. It is believed to be 1500 miles from London, possibly in the Atlantic near the Azores, or in the Aegean. The needle of the seismograph swung six inches. The usual swing is approximately half an inch.
