FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist Issued to the " Auckland Star " this afternoon the following special weather forecast fcr the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Strong south-easterly winds to gales, turning later to southerly or southwesterly and moderating. General rain, with some heavy falls, and in places flooding, but weather improving to-morrow. Temperatures cool, seas becoming rough to high. General situation: A depression is centred east of the Auckland peninsula. while<an anti-cyclone covers the southern portion of the South Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind south-east, fresh; sea moderate; weather overcast with heavy rain; visibility poor; barometer falling.
