RETIRES ON MONDAY.

BANK OF N.Z. MANAGER. Unbroken service of 47 years with the Bank of New Zealand lias been completed by the general manager, Mr., F. W. Dawson, whose retirement will take effect as from Monday. He will be replaced by the assistant-general manager, Mr. H. R. H. Chalmers. Mr. Dawson joined the Bank of Oamaru in 1802, and became general 'manager in 1034. He was at one time manager of the Auckland branch. On Thursday he will leave by the Rangitane with Mrs. Dawson on a trip to Great Britain.
