With A Detective
THE many readers, and they 1 belong to all walks of life, who have a weakness for detective and mystery yarns, are always interested to learn of new creators of this kind of fiction. One of these new arrivals who can be recommended as sure to entertain them is an English business man, on the board of several companies, George Vaizey by name. Hitherto Mr. "Vaizey has contented himself with writing short stories for various periodicals. Now he has tried hie hand at a full-dress novel of the mystery kind. It has the usual murder to puzzle the usual detective, and a good deal more, including an unusual love drama. "Guile Wears a Coronet" (Harrap), if it is in some respects a bit far-fetched, is decidedly original and entertaining. It has something of the Oppenheim flavour and is as good a story as many that have come from the pen of that clever and facile writer.
