Hugh Sinclair, who plavfi a distinguished actor, goes through seven character changes. As a foreign secret-police officer, he rescues Frank Lawton from a Central huropean political prison camp. Disguised as a C.I.D. man. he interviews the wife of a Government official who is .selling secrets to the enemy. Bespectacled and with greying hair, he poses as a water hoard inspector and plans the death of a leading politician. From a theatre stage and unrecognisable through the dusky make-up. black wig and richly embroidered clothes, he plays "Othello.'' A tramp, an exact make-up "double" of a politician, and lastly as himself, complete the series of disguises. Hugh Sinclair spent over 75 hours in the makeup chair during the production.
