Canine Star
SILVER KING, the dog star, is something of an animal prodigy. Grandson of Strongheart, famous in America as one of the most intelligent dogs on record, Silver King has for many years aided scientists in their researches into the canine mentality. In some recent "intelligence quotient'' •tests at Columbia University, the dop was found to understand the meaning of 285 different words and nearly as manv hand which, incidentally, have to be used by his trainer, Arthur Butler, when the dog appears in a talking picture. In addition. Silver King has done service as a policeman in guiding school children across busy roads and is an honorary member of the police departments of Jo United States cities.
