MONEY COMING IN.

PRESBYTERIAN CAMPAIGN. START OF SECOND STAGE. The second stage of the campaign of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand to raise £300.000 as a centenary thanksgiving fund was begun with a meeting last night at St. David's Church, the Rev. G. A. D. Spence presiding. The objects of the fund were explained by the convener of the assembly committee, Mr. S. J. Harbutt, who said that the majority of congregations through-, out the country had thrown themselves heart and soul into the scheme and some had already raised more than their quota. Mr. Harbutt said he believed that £200,000 would be raised by the end of June. Donations or promises now neared that total, while of the £29.000 expected from Auckland, £24,223 had been obtained.

"The Romance of .the Presbyterian Church in England" was the subject of an address during the evening by the Rev. Dr. ft. C. Gillie.
