WATSON BAY TROPHY. RACE FOR 18-FOOTERS. The valuable trophy in the form of a silver yacht in full sail, which was presented by residents of Watson's Bay, Svriney. for competition open to any isfooters in New Zealand, and won by Mr B Schmidt's Riptide in February, 1938. will be competed for on Saturday week April 29, under the auspices of the Tamaki Yacht Club. Although late In the season, the club is assured of a fairly good response to its request to sister clubs for entries, and half a dozen have been received, entnos closing to-morrow with the secretary of the club, Mr. E. A. Haynes. or the commodore, phone 17-843, at the week-end. The race will start at 2.45 p.m., the course being from off Tamaki clubhouse round mark off Gower's Point, round red flashing buoy, round Resolution buoy, to finishing line.

POINT CHEVALIER CLUB. The Point Chevalier Sailing Club will hold the last fixture of the 1938-39 season on Sunday, April 30, when a series of handicap races will start and finish off the clubhouse.

Ensoll, of Tainul Road, Devonport, yachting interests in Auckland lost a splendid, quiet, and capable worker for the beet interests of the sport.
