RED CROSS SOCIETY.

THREE BRANCHES FORMED

Branches of the Eed Cross Society have been formed in Waiuku, New Lynn and Birkenhead. In each centre the meetings were convened by the Mayor of each borough and addressed by the director of the society in New Zealand, Mr. Ira J. Bridger.

At Waiuku officers were elected as follows:—Patron, Colonel Aldred; president, Mr. McQuire. A general committee of 25 was appointed.

Officers were elected at New Lynn as follows:—President, the Mayor, Mr. A. T. Reiman; chairwoman of committees, Mrs. J. It. George; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. J. L. White.

Birkenhead officers are: President, the Mayoress, Mrs. E. J. Osborne; secretary, Mrs. Klingender.
