PENWOMEN'S CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. OFFICERS ELECTED. The annual meeting of the Penwomen's Club was held at the club rooms, Short's Buildings, yesterday afternoon, the president, Mrs. Nello Porter, presiding. The financial report *was read by the retiring secretary, Mrs. Sydney Smith, and adopted. Reports of the various sections — drama, music, literature etudy, art, journalism, debating, magazine, gardenmakers and house committee were read by the conveners. Votes of thanks for services rendered to the club during the past year were tendered to Mr. Hesketh (honorary solicitor), Mr. Oldridge, Mr. Nello Porter, Mr. Hampton Reynolds, and also to club members, Mrs. Svdney Smith, Miss F. M. Quill, Mm. R. G. Bennett, and to the club housekeeper, Mrs. E. Griffin. Mrs. Nello Porter was presented with a bouquet as a token of appreciation on behalf of the club members by Mrs. A. M. Wilson. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mrs. Nello Porter (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Mrs. E. M. Schmitt, Mrs. W. Osborne, Miss Alice Watson; secretary, Mrs. Frances Gerrard; assistant secretary, Miss Joan Clinton; house convener, Mrs. C. Culverwell; entertainment convener, Mrs. T. E. Richards.
