It was staved thai the accused galloped past on hi* borse and as he passed the police he threw a bottle with such force that it broke against a build in?. The aoctised returned almost immediately, and threw a stone, which missed its target and made a big dent in an iron vail.
The polic-p added that occurrences of this sort were frequent in Ruatoria., and it was difficult to detect offenders who galloped pat*.
The accused was sentenced to two months' paol on each of 1 -w-o charges of assault, the sentence* to be cumulatjv*-.
