Australia's richest foot raee. the Stawell Raster Gift, was won by L. TV. Sprague of Railarat. off OAyds In 11 7-Ss. Two other Vietorians. U Dunn, 111 yds. and 3. Davis, "Jrds, finished second and third respectively.
A New Zealander, Albert Gilmore. 40yds, won the Federation Handicap of one mile, for £130, by 25yds, in 4.8 4-5.
