SIT-DOWN STRIKE DAMAGE. PHILADELPHIA, April 4. In the Federal District Court, Philadelphia, yesterday, a jury consisting of eight women and four men set an important precedent in labour history by finding a union responsible for damage incurred during a sit-down strike, a method of protest outlawed by the United States Supreme Court.
