SOME NEW ZEALAND GARDENS

The Easter iesue of the "Xew Zealand Woman's Weekly," which will be on sale to-morrow (Wednesday), comes in another attractive cover with a definite feminine appeal. This number of the popular magazine is again full of interesting reading. To begin with, there is a generous instalment of the thrilling serial story, "Two Against the World," and two complete short stories. "The Easter Eggs" and "A Point of Honour." Of general interest will be the two pages of photographs of gardens in various parts of the Dominion. Among articles is one dealing with the treatment of guests during their Easter stay, while another is on the emblem «>f Easter—eggs. An Easter fashion parade is the subject of photographs and description by Ellie Bailey, the "Xew Zealand Woman's Weekly" special representative in London. Then there is a special Easter message for women from the edit.-P3s. This week there are the first articles by the ''New Zealand Woman's Weekly ,, special representative in Hollywood, G. F. Walker, who has succeeded the former representative. In these he deals with the 1938 Academy awards and howHollywood brightened up Australia's bushranger* in a movie now in the course of being filmed. "Peace and Goodwill in Prague" is the subject of an article by a New Zealander who recently paid a visit to that city. In the "Hats on the Stars,"' contest there ie printed the second film star and hat, with full directions how to enter. This competition will be continued until June 1, and there are cash prizes totalling £20, with no entry fee. Readers may also enter for Xo. 10 limerick verse.
