ONE MONTH IN GAOL.
CARPENTER'S THEFTS. "This man has only done one month's work since he came out of gaol in August last. There is apparently only one place where he will work," said Detective Sergeant Walsh in the Police Court this morning, when Roland Leslie Rush, aged 28, carpenter, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft of tools and motor car fittings valued at £l'l2/9. Accused had a list of previous convictions. Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., said the accused should have no difficirlty in obtaining work, seeing that carpenters were being brought across from Australia. Accused was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
