ACTRESS ATTACKED.

Critical Condition After Street Assault. SIMILARITY TO EARLIER CASE. (Received 12 noon.) HOLLYWOOD, March 29. Delia Bogard, a 17-year-old cinema actress, who was recently cast in a romantic role opposite Jackie Cooper, was attacked and probably fatally beaten on the head by a thug on the street early this morning. The motive was apparently criminal assault, but the assailant could only be described as a tall man with a grey top-coat. He was forced to flee by three women, who were attracted to the scene by Delia's screams. The police point out that the circumstances and method are almost identical with those of the murder of a Russian dancer, Anya Sosoveva, last month. They believe that the assailant is the same. Delia has been taken to hospital, but is given only the slightest chance to recover.
