YACHTSMEN NARROWLY AVERT DISASTER. Spectators at a recent Lyttelton regatta were afforded the spectacle of a smatl yacht, which, while sailing close to the rocks, nearly capsized when a sudden squall carried away a mainstay. The crew's sudden buret of energy in bringing the boat back to an even keel caused considerable amusement, not shared by the crew, as the amount of water shipped soaked their shore-going Clothes. Later, three shivering yachtsmen crept home, but with no fears of cat<Aifrg chills, for before leaving the boatsheds each had been fortified with a large dose from an inevitable bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver.
