OFFICERS INSTALLED.

ROSICRUCIAN CHAPTER. 1 New officers of the Rosicrucian Auckland Chapter were installed at a recent meeting. They were:—Master, Mr. X. O. Hewitt; secretary, Mrs M. B. Troughear; chaplain, Mr. W. J. Byrne; guardian, Miss. I. Tomlinson. March 21 is the beginning of the fiecal period for all lodges and chapters, and that date is marked by the installation of new ritualistic and administrative officers. At the conclave a ceremony that began in ancient Egypt over forty centuries ago was re-enacted. This was an ancient Xew Year rite, celebrated by a symbolic feast, in which the participants partook of . simple foods.
