SYNOPSIS. On a secret investigation of the disappearance of Judy Fortier, secretary to Barnard Grafton, capitalist, Major Roger Allenby, in the role of a prospective investor, is visiting Grafton at his Bermuda home, Freebooter's Hall, on Plunder Island. Altenby and two other guests—C. Townley Ward and Cora Sue Pendleton—have Just arrived. They meet Patricia Fortier, sister of the missing Judy, and Creepy, Grafton's native boatman, soon after their 'plane arrived. Patricia shows Allenby the cove where "Judy was drowned."
