SOUTHWARD-BOUND SHIPS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUXEDIX. Wednesday. Two shijv; southward bound from Lyttelton were delayed to-day bv a heavy southerly gale which they encountered off the coast. They were tins L nion !Steam Ship Company's intercolonial freighter Waitaki. due to-day to complete loading for Sydney and Melbourne, and the new motor tanker Belinda, bringing motor spirit from Bahrein Island. llie Waitaki arrived late to-night and will sail to-morrow for Australia, but the Belinda did not reach the heads until it was too late to bring her up the channel. She will now berth to-mor-row morning to complete discharge.
