NAVY LEAGUE.

PARTY FOR FUNDS. An enjoyable and successful bridge afternoon was held in the Farmers' Trading Company tearooms in aid of the Navy League funds. Members of the ladies' committee who assisted with this function were: Mesdames C. Webber, chairman of the ladies' committee, Wyatt, Milsom, Eisdell Moore, A. Donald, J. Alexander, Rivett-Carnac, Wooller, R. Bailey, W. W. Morrah, H. M. Barnes, P. Barnett, H. O. Wiles, T. Palmer, H. R. Bloomfield, H. Tiarks, C. S. White, C. R. Brightman, C. A. Cumming, C. W. M. Vereker, H. McCoy, C. Mitford, F. H. Gifford, Misses Murray, Darling and M. Leah (hon. secretary). During the afternoon Commander C. H. T. Palmer, president of the Auckland Navy League, addressed those present and the prizes were presented by Mrs. Webber to Mrs. Leeper (contract). Mrs. R. W. Brockway (auction) and Mrs. Kronfeld (mall jong).
